Running In Oil is a premium mineral, SAE 15W-40, non-friction modified engine oil with low detergent and dispersant levels that is specifically created for the critical running in time of new, re-built, and crate engines. It includes a sophisticated anti-wear additive pack with HIGH ZINC levels (over 1600 ppm) for maximum engine wear protection during the early phases of engine operation.

Can be used with recommended SAE viscosities of 15W-40:

Application
Running In Oil is intended for use in all engines for both on-road and competition applications. It is appropriate for use in current four, six, and eight-cylinder, multi-cam, multi-valve engines, including VVT, normally aspirated, supercharged, and turbocharged engines, as well as light-duty diesel engines. It is appropriate for use in passenger cars, light commercial, competition vehicles, and motorcycles, including four-stroke bikes with wet clutches.

Running In Oil contains a high zinc formulation that protects the valve train, including the camshafts, followers, rockers, and pushrods. It allows the piston rings to properly bed in with the cylinder walls, preventing bore glazing, and it is suitable for both dynamometer and typical road run-in processes. If used on the road, the recommended running in period for Running In Oil is roughly 500 km, after which both the oil and filter should be changed.

Running In Oil can be used in engines with SAE 15W-40, 20W-40, 20W-50, and SAE 30 viscosity grades recommended by the manufacturer. It is intended to be used with a wide variety of engine oil viscosities. Its viscosity of 15W-40 makes it suitable for use in both new and older engines. It is compatible with petrol, LPG, E10, diesel, and other standard fuels.
