HPR 40 is a high-performance mineral engine oil that is non-friction modified and rated 25W-70. It has a DOUBLE LAYER of engine wear protection, including FULL ZINC (approx. 1500 ppm levels) and Penrite's unique EXTRA TEN technology. Protects against corrosion, oil oxidation, and sludge under all operating circumstances.

HPR 40 is indicated for use in cars equipped with SAE 20W-50, 25W-50, and 25W-60 multigrade engine oils or SAE 40 monograde engine oils as originally specified by the manufacturer.

Application
HPR 40 is intended for use in four, six, and eight-cylinder naturally aspirated, supercharged, and turbocharged petrol engines. It is especially well suited for usage in higher capacity engines under high load conditions, such as towing and competition, or when ambient temperatures are high.

It can be used in situations where API SL and prior SJ (1995-2000), SH (1992-1995), SG (1989-1992), or earlier specifications are recommended. It is appropriate for use in engines that exhibit excessive oil consumption as well as to maintain oil pressure in medium to high capacity engines.

HPR 40 has been proved in race and competition circumstances for years, and it has an unrivalled reputation for engine protection in engines that require a high performance mineral oil. It is the preferred product for many competitors that run competitive vehicles in circuit and drag racing, rallying, drifting, hill climbing, Targa races, time trials, and regularity.

HPR 40 is ideal for many vehicle and fuel types, including passenger cars, 4WDs, light and heavy duty commercial vehicles, motorbikes, industrial, and agricultural machines. It is compatible with petrol and E10 for road use, as well as racing fuels including Methanol, Nitro, Avgas, Alcohol, and E85 for competition.

EXTRA-TEN TECHNOLOGY
The HPR 40 oil's SAE rating includes the Penrite EXTRA TEN. This technology protects your engine by combining a standard start-up viscosity with an oil with a greater operating temperature viscosity. This increases engine oil film strength, reduces frictional heat, and adds an extra layer of anti-wear protection over regular SAE grade oils, minimising engine wear under all operating situations.

HPR 40 is a complete zinc engine oil that protects internal engine parts like cam shafts and lifters from wear. This product does not require additional zinc or other additives.
