Gear Box Oil 40 is a multigrade gearbox oil intended for use in automobiles that initially utilised the same oil in the gearbox as was recommended and used in the engine. Many automobiles built in the 1950s and 1960s required engine oil for use in the transmission. While this was convenient, a multigrade oil is now a better option, providing greater temperature performance.

Application
Gear Box Oil 40 is suitable for vintage, veteran, and classic gearboxes with straight, synchro, and epicyclic gears, overdrives, and pre-selectors.

Gear Box Oil 40 is a 25W-70 oil intended for use in applications where SAE 40 or 50 lubricants were originally specified.
